Welcome to Week 2 of the 2026 NFL season. The season last week set the record for the highest grossing opening week. We see that high scoring continues to be the name of the game, but it has produced some wild results.
The most surprising thing is that the Giants are beating the Cowboys. Sunday night football. But we’ve seen the 49ers upset the Rams in Australia, the Jets pull off a minor upset against the Titans, the Bills put up big points against a quality Texans defense, and the Bears stun by 59 points.
Last week, it was a little all over the place. I was split on my high confidence pick as the Chargers blew the joint by losing the Chargers. I was 7-1 on my medium confidence picks and 1-5 on my low confidence picks, which put me 9-7 for Week 1.
We’re back for another week of polls. I prefer straight games with winners and losers, but I also offer a level of confidence. I pick the winner of each game and rank the picks based on their confidence level – high, medium, low and no. A game with three asterisks (***) indicates a game in which I will select the bet to win. Whether or not you have to assign confidence points, this will help you know where I stand with the polls. And within each group, I ordered them by confidence level.
As always to be clear, I’m a 49ers fan, so you have to take that pick every week with a grain of salt.
