Ribovics (16-3) will face each other. King Green
(36-17-1) at UFC 332 Oct. 3 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. The Argentine lightweight detailed the measures he took to prepare for the city’s height ahead of his meeting with Green.
Esteban Ribovics describes his pitch preparation for King Green in Salt Lake City
Ribovics said he slept in a chamber that simulated lower oxygen levels for several weeks in preparation. He also arrived in Salt Lake City 10 days early and has been running in the mountains to help acclimate.
“When I found out it was going to be a fight, I slept in a hyperbaric chamber for a couple of weeks,” Ribovics said in a pre-fight interview. “I’m not sure if that’s the name they use, but basically it simulates a lack of oxygen. I did really well with it, plus I showed up 10 days early to get used to it, and so far so good. I actually ran in the mountains, so I feel good.”
Ribovics defeated Edson Barboza returned to the win column after a submission loss in his last outing Mateusz Gamrot. He is aiming for the performance bonus against fellow striker Green and is expecting an action-packed battle.
“I’m built for the bonus, I work for the bonus, I train for the bonus,” added Ribovics. “And I also think that King Green is going to put up a fight like he’s going to come in and let me do a performance like that and I’m sure I’m going to go and get a bonus and that’s it, I’m built for a bonus, that’s who I am.”
“I’m made for a bonus.”
