Pat Lam invited Gabriel Oghre and George Klosk to his Bristol Bear on side for their annual commemoration vs Leicester Tigers at Ashton Gate on Friday night.

Oghre and Kloska returned from injuries sustained in the defeat to Saracens, the only turnaround they have had at Gallagher Prem so far this season, and will replace Thomas Gwilliam and Lovejoy Chawatama.

Lam keeps the same seven as in the 20-7 win Exeter Chiefs last weekend, with the only other change coming at the back, where Georgian star Luka Ivanishvili starts at No.8 in place of Benjamin Grondona.

Back-rower Steven Luatua, who took a nasty kick in the mouth against Chiefs, is keeping his place, Lam said in his midweek media call. England center Benhard Janse van Rensburg is still missing after suffering two significant concussions this year.

Van Rensburg, who will return for the next PREM game in Bath December, leads the injured list which also includes Max Lahiff, Harry Thacker, Ethan Staddon, William Mata, Khalik Kareem, Max Clark, Kalaveti Ravouvou, Noah Heward, Josh Carrington.

Lam knows the Tigers, who defeated the reigning PREM champions Northampton Saints 28-7 in last weekend’s East Midlands derby will be tough opposition but the prize for the winners is at least top of the table overnight.

“We gave ourselves a chance. Both clubs will do their best to win because the winner finishes on Friday night at the top of the table.”

“It’s a big reward for the players, but having said that Leicester were outstanding last week as well, we understand the challenge we face against them. So it will be a great game,” he said.
