When it comes to the greatest wrestlers to come out of the United Kingdom, William Regal will always be one of the first names that comes to mind. He competed in both WCW and WWE during the Monday Night Wars before eventually becoming a mainstay on the WWE roster, and now serves as the company’s Vice President of Worldwide Talent Development.
However, if you ask the man himself, he wouldn’t call himself the greatest. In fact, he actually believes that the current AEW star is the best wrestler to come out of England since the 1980s. It’s about a person none other than PACwho Regal recently ran into while returning from Mexico, and Regal talked about the current AEW star on his page. X (formerly known as Twitter) p.
I’m on a plane going home from Mexico and I’m there with Pak. 1 of my favorite people in wrestling. IMO the best wrestler to come out of England since the 80s and they were Rollerball Rocco, Marty Jones and Fit Finlay. That’s no knock on the incredible talent the UK has today…

A wrestler that when I see him wrestle I think he can beat me and again his wrestling is a lot more aggressive and believable, there are some brilliant British wrestlers that I look up to but not as much as he is and my opinion is on Neville-Black’s last tournament. Last nights Roman and Penta rate there, no need to argue because I don’t read comments.
PAC was in Mexico last weekend working CMLL, where he lost to Mascara Dorada, while Regal was in attendance for both nights of WWE Raw, WWE SmackDown and AAA TripleMania 34, all of which took place in Mexico City. Regal and PAC briefly got a chance to hang out in 2022 when Regal was part of the AEW roster. and PAC will eventually join Death Riders in 2024, a stable Regal technically helped form two years ago when it was originally known as Blackpool Combat Club.
