The Indiana Pacers are set to open their NBA season against the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday, with the return of the Pacers star and WWE Superfan Tyrese Haliburton. Halliburton was sidelined with a torn Achilles in the first quarter of Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals, where the Pacers played the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Now that he’s healthy, Halliburton is celebrating his return in a big way. Before his first game back he took to X (formerly Twitter) to post a hype videonarrated by Paul “Triple H” Levesque.
“The brighter the lights. How high are the stakes? He shined more,” Levesque is heard saying in the video, which begins with Halliburton’s highlights. “He gave an entire city something to believe in. The world saw what he had lost. Now they can see what he found.”
The video then cuts to several shots of Halliburton shortly after being injured. It then shows him recovering at the doctor’s office, as well as working out in the gym and back on the court.
“The injury changed him,” Levesque continues. “Just not the way they expected. Doubts are back. Unfortunately, so does he. Zero. Doubt.”

In addition to the hyped comeback video, Fightful shared photos on X Halliburton’s arrival in the Pacers’ home opener. The star wore Triple H’s iconic leather and denim jacket combo in his 2002 return to “WWE Raw” at Madison Square Garden after being sidelined for nearly a year due to a severe quad injury.
Haliburton’s most recent appearance came during WWE July edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event. He and Seth Rollins went head-to-head with World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and New York Knicks star and 2026 NBA champion Jalen Brunson.
