during a recent interview with “Tap the tea” Williams talked about his experience on the road with Legend, who he got married earlier this summer In Jamaica. “It’s my best friend, my support system,” she said. “You can see that from my career perspective, Trick Williams’ trajectory has gotten higher and higher as he and I started to bond, get closer, learn each other, different things like that. I don’t think that’s a coincidence at all.
“When I first told him. “Hey, I want to be me and you, let’s do it,” he said. “Okay, you need to weigh 30 pounds.” That’s what he told me on the first day. I said: “How are you going to tell me what to do? I’m not going to tell you what to do. But the truth is, he was right, though. That 30 pounds could be the difference between being a guy on my roster and looking like a heavyweight champion one day.”
While Legend has helped Williams blossom into his current form as a two-time WWE United States Champion, he has made a conscious effort to return the favor. Williams noted that he tries to push her with respect while providing her with mental and emotional support. That way, he and she can appear together on the WWE main roster.
Legend currently appears on WWE’s blue brand with The Irresistible Force Nia Jax. Meanwhile, Williams recently regained the United States Championship by defeating Baron Corbin at WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event.
