WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Sol Ruka was was called up to the main roster following WrestleMania 42 with great pomp. The former WWE NXT star was a fan favorite at the Performance Center due in part to his athletic ability. Fans love his finishers: the Sol Snatcher, springboard front toe cutterbut it didn’t always go smoothly, especially on WWE Raw.
Ruka discussed moving forward An episode of “HUGE POP!” Announcer Donnie DaSilva asked if the move was a “double-edged sword” as the crowd often feels like they’re waiting for Ruka’s big position and can be out of touch with the match as a whole.
“I’ve definitely had that thought before, however I feel like it’s about what you do in the ring and the emotion you put behind it,” Rucka said. “Because, yeah, sometimes fans might not bite (fake finish) that I do with somebody because they know it’s not my finish. However, if you put emotion behind it, if you stick a person like this.
Rucka said he’s working on more subtle characters like facial expressions so people aren’t just watching and waiting for Sol Snatcher. Asked if he’s considering another graduation move, Rucka said it has crossed his mind.
“I think if I was going to have a secondary, it would probably have to be something that wasn’t high-flying,” Rucka said. “Maybe a submission or more of a power move because I really think my finish, I don’t know if I can top it.”
