It’s Trick Williams and Lash Legend enjoying life as a married couple with WWE on the road. However, at one point they found themselves worlds apart, with Legend deliberately trying to keep a great distance between them.
In the last episode “What’s your story?” Legend admitted that he initially befriended Williams after they met at the WWE Performance Center.
“I remember the first time I saw him and I said, “Oh, no, no, no,” Legend recalled. “He was my type. I remember feeling that feeling, and I say, “No, I’ll stay away.” But then I recognized him, but I said: “Oh no, I have to stay away.” I try to stay focused, plus I’ve got my own thing going on outside of work. So I said, “No.” But then I got to know him as a person, really as a person. In all my relationships, romantically, I’ve never been able to be friends with someone first. So I really need to figure out his character, his morals, his values, his spirit, his soul. Just really get to know him on a business level, just a professional. I said: “Man, he’s a really good person,” and that’s what I really liked about him. But again, two years in the friendly zone.”
Legend account coincides with one previously stated by Williams. While detailing the origins of their relationship, Williams noted that she mustered up the courage to speak to the former basketball player after rumors of their potential romance spread across the internet. Legend responded by putting her in the friend zone, but in the end, he claims she won him over as something more.
Years later, the couple got engaged. in June 2026 they then officially married in Jamaica. The two will now compete at the 2026 Money in the Bank premium live event, which is scheduled to take place in New Orleans tonight.
