Joe Hendry has achieved quite a lot in recent years, but he’s already looking towards his next big goal, naming a world title his dream and identifying the star he’d like to meet.
Hendry is a former World Champion, having held the TNA World Championship while in TNA Wrestling. Now part of WWE, the Scotsman recently gave an interview “ON Live:” where he was asked about his dream game. Hendry said it would be a dream to wrestle for a world title in his home country, while S.M. Punk named the person he’d like to date in that scenario.
“That’s a great question. I’m proud to say I’ve had some of my dream matches, but you know what, it doesn’t mean anything more than fighting for a world championship. So I’d have to say it would be a dream for me to face someone in Scotland for the championship,” Hendry said. “But if I could pick any single member of the roster right now, I’m going to go with CM Punk.
The Scottish star has held one title in his WWE run, winning the NXT Championship earlier this yearbut has yet to win a championship on the main roster.
Hendry, who was called up to the main roster earlier this year, has yet to share a ring with Punk. The Scotsman is currently on “WWE Raw,” part of the brand’s midcard, while Punk is at the top of the card on “WWE SmackDown,” making a potential clash between the two a little tough. But it seems Hendry learns from Punkas well as other major WWE stars, including Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes, on his journey to the top.
