Former AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo in preparation for the WWE NXT match was injured and underwent surgery for a torn ACL in his left knee. Back in 2024, Vikingo also had surgery on his other knee after tearing a meniscus at the time.
It was reported months ago that he would be out for at least six to eight months and until then she keeps fans updated on her social mediaVikingo recently interviewed “WWE Now!,” detailing his current rehab progress.
“I’m doing very well, I’m still young, my recovery is going very well,” he said. “Doctors are impressed with my progress. I started walking earlier than expected.”
“Of course, still step by step. They told (me) I’m doing well, but I shouldn’t rush things. Sometimes it’s stressful at home after being on the road for so long,” Vikingo added. “On the other hand, I’m with my kids and my wife, so I enjoy more time with them.” (translation: Fightful’s Luis Pulido).
Due to Vikingo’s injury, he has yet to compete on WWE television, but in an interview with Denise Salcedo, he shared optimism for the WWE-AAA merger.
