Fans of Interim WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Greene, whether they’re following her on social media or watching the second season of WWE Unreal, know that the star has been working hard on her acting skills, taking classes and working towards branching out in Hollywood. On Monday, it was announced that the star has been cast in a new film.
According to DeadlineGreen will star in We Can Be Heroes, which will actually wrap filming in Ontario soon. The film stars Ron Perlman, Peter Facinelli, Sean Benson, Humberly Gonzalez and others.
Deadline reports that the film is about “an incredibly underwhelming detective who finds himself caught up in a very real mystery when a young gamer gets into trouble and turns to him for help recovering his stolen gaming rig.” Director Paul Emami said We Could Be Heroes is a story of friendship, courage and discovery while also being a comedy.
The film is directed by Paul Emami and produced by Golden Boy LLC. The screenplay was written by Mark Elias, who also stars in the film. More information about Green’s character in the film was not immediately available. Champion has yet to comment on the role on his own social media, but he did share photos from the red carpet and stage after presenting at the Creative Emmy Awards over the weekend.
