It was time for Jaida Parker to be called up from WWE NXT, and I thought WWE did it in a really interesting way tonight, booking the show with her arrival, then her amazing setup. Parker once teamed with OTM’s Lucien Price and Bronco Nima in NXT, so it makes sense for him to join the 946 alongside the team and Royce Keys.
I admit, I always read short spoilers before the show, but when he pulled up tonight, both the Usos and Jacob Fatu assumed the black SUV he arrived in was the 946 and rushed out to start a brawl, only for Parker to come face-to-face with real-life friend Jey Uso. I don’t want to comment too much on the Uso’s relationship drama or perceived social media drama, but as a perpetually obnoxious person, I absolutely loved it. Parker told Uso that he was there to meet with General Manager Adam Pearce, which may have been the case, but that certainly wasn’t all he was there to do.
After a brawl that stretched from the ring to the loading dock, Fatou and Keys fought over another SUV. Case came in and nailed Fatou with one of the scariest door shots I’ve ever seen, right on the head. That’s when Parker came speeding out of nowhere to hit Fatou with a car and indicated to the camera that he “didn’t see him there.” and he had plenty of regrets before aligning himself with Keys with a simple “nobody’s safe” line that seems to be 946’s catchphrase at the moment. Keys hit Fatou “full throttle, no brakes.” before they quickly left, which was a nice touch.
The sequence of events, from the door to the speeding car, was one of the funniest endings to an episode of “Raw” I’ve seen in forever, and after such a rough day, I absolutely loved it. I think Parker is a perfect match for 946, even if they don’t address anything with him and Jay. Perhaps most importantly, this means that Bloodline will have to have someone face Parker, so hopefully the now former NXT star is ready to “watch out” as Naomi is rumored to be waiting in the wings and ready to go.
