Tony D’Angelo, Saquon Sugars and Mason Rook will face each other in a triple threat number one contenders match for Grayson Waller’s NXT Championship. Waller watched from ringside as D’Angelo, Sugars and Rook defeated Cruz Montana, E.K. Prospery and Keanu Carver in a Six Man Tag Team Match on last Tuesday’s episode of NXT to earn their spots in tonight’s match. The final moments of last Tuesday’s game showed Rook tagging himself to steal the puck from D’Angelo, much to D’Angelo’s chagrin, and an angry Montana and Carver arguing with each other on the entrance ramp.
Miles Bourne will issue a public apology to his former best friend Tavion Heights. Borne expressed remorse and regret on his X page for blindsides Heights with “Borne Again” on August 30th at NXT Heatwave, and appeared in the crowd at last Tuesday’s show to stare at Heights moments after Heights unsuccessfully challenged Vanity Project’s Jackson Drake for the North American Championship. He was spotted backstage later that night talking to Hank Walker and Tank Ledger, who advised him to back off his apology.
Osiris Griffin and DarkState’s Cutler James will join forces with each other to take on Shawn Legacy and Dorian Van Dux. Legacy and Van Dux will no doubt look to redeem themselves after coming up short against Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno in their last two matches on the Sept. 1 episode of NXT. Also, Lizzie Raine will face Kali Armstrong after a brief backstage verbal spat between the pair last Tuesday.
