“WWE NXT” Halloween Mayhem is officially upon us as the wresting world’s spooky season comes to an end tonight at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The card features two championship matches, spinning wheels and deal-making, and of course Dunnhausen, and as always, it’s time for the Wrestling Inc. staff to predict the winners of each match.
We’re going out strong performance at AEW WrestleDreamwhere we’ve pretty much predicted every matchup right, and that means we’re rolling into Halloween Mayhem with a ton of well-earned confidence. Of course, this isn’t the easiest prediction card, and we’re somewhat split on a few matchups, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t consider this article mostly a spoiler for the upcoming event. Who will win gold, or just luck on Halloween night? Let’s go to the options.
Izzi Dame vs Zaria. Dame (67%)
Izzy Dame and North American women’s champion Zaria are set to battle it out on Saturday, but not for the gold. After weeks of Dame tormenting Zariah with footage from her high school movie Wicked and other photos from her past, Zariah offered to put her title on the line during Halloween’s destruction. Dame accepted the match but said he wasn’t going after the title, at least not yet.
The odd clause, or rather the lack of it, is why 67 percent of us are going with Dem, the former North American Women’s Champion. Dam’s current mission is to embarrass and expose Zaria, so it only makes sense for her to get the win here, especially without the title.
A Zaria win would mean that this rather confusing plot would wrap up neatly, but it also wouldn’t make much sense and would be a huge waste of time. Dame has committed to terrorizing the champion for weeks, trying to get in his head, and if Dame defeats him in the ring, it only helps his cause. She wants Zaria exposed and broken before she actually leaves after the North American Women’s Championship.
This will be the first match between Zaria and Dame in what looks like a streak leading up to that ultimate title fight. We think Dame is taking the first battle of the war.

Naraku vs Shiloh Hill. Naraku (67%)
In one of Halloween’s closer races to destruction, Naraku will face Shiloh Hill, with the former promising to unleash its mysterious black mist on the latter. According to 67% of the Wrestling Inc. staff, Naraku will be successful with this as well.
Naraku came into WWE this year looking strong, dark, mysterious, and most importantly, a future NXT Champion. However, the former NJPW star’s momentum came to a quick halt as he suffered not one, but two losses to then-NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo before disappearing from programming for nearly a month.
Needless to say, Naraku’s WWE run hasn’t panned out the way we’ve been hoping for so far. Which is why we’re hoping the Halloween debacle will get him back on track.
The former EVIL has already gained a victory over Hill by spitting green mist into his hand and smearing it on his foe’s face. Their next confrontation then saw Naraku blind the referee with a blue haze and brawl with Hill as their match was declared a no-contest. Halloween Havoc will now mark their third in-ring match, with Hill looking to pick up his first official win in their feud.
A third of the WINC staff believe the Halloween Havoc will be the stage for Hill to do just that. Most of us, however, feel that the bigger picture of putting Naraku back as a legitimate NXT Championship contender will ultimately come first.
It will also be Halloween, which means wolves, goblins and their “poison” will be lurking in the shadows, ready to pounce. So if you ask us, there’s no more perfect setting to let Naraku’s black mist take full effect.

Zilla Stone vs. Charlie Demps. Stone (100%)
Zillah Fatu’s intro to the NXT Universe stopped. It doesn’t really seem like he’s gotten a chance to really show what he can do other than a lot of matches and promos. Because of this, no member of the Wrestling Inc staff thinks they will lose at Halloween Havoc.
Everything about the match points to Zilla defeating nepo-kid Charlie Dempsey to prove who is nepotism’s favorite son. Like his former father, Dempsey is an oddball in the WWE. He’s too much of a wrestler for sports entertainment, but he already looks like a WWE lifer. While I don’t think this will lead to much success in the ring, it will mean he’ll be best suited for moments like this. When Zilla inevitably wins, he will surely earn it, as Dempsey can be obnoxious in the ring when he wants to. She’s not going to just lay down for Fatu, which means we’ll see how trash-talking Zila behaves in the script.
Birthright seems like it’s being set up for some success, but we’re not there yet. Because right now it’s Charlie Dempsey’s time to feud with Zillah Fatu and inevitably eat the Samoan Spike, or whatever they decide Zillah’s finisher should be.

Weapons Wild: Myles Borne (58%)
Tavion Heights and Myles Borne will be given a weapon and a license to go wild this weekend, with the pair finally getting their hands on each other after the latter turned on Heatwave first.
Bourne drew the short straw when it came to double duty at the event, losing the NXT tag titles he held with Heights and the North American title he held for himself. So he pulled the trigger on their seemingly inevitable split to precede this game where the guns are wild according to the spinning wheel.
This will be the first time they’ve gone at it, hating each other, but it won’t be the first time Borne and the Heights have faced each other. So far, they have wrestled a total of three times. The Heights have won a total of zero of those matches, first losing in their NXT Level Up contest in 2024 and then falling in a nearly double-length match at NXT last year. After all, he wrestled almost twice as long as that and once again lost the North American title to Bourne earlier this year at The Great American Bash.
In other words, Heights is trying to break that duck and finally get out of Bourne’s shadow. But if you ask most of the Wrestling Inc. team, this won’t be the night. 58% predicted Bourne to make it 4-0 in his saga. That, of course, leaves 42% to believe that Heights can finally pull it off, perhaps hoping for some catharsis for the babyface.
NXT Women’s Championship. Kelani Jordan (83%)
Wren Sinclair gets her first shot at the NXT Women’s Championship when she takes on Kelani Jordan at Halloween Devastation, but as good as she is, we just don’t think it’s time for the leader of WrenQCC. We’ve got Jordan going here and 83 percent of us are throwing our support behind The Standout.
A good portion of this feud centers around former NXT Women’s Champion and Sinclair’s best friend, Kendall Gray, who will likely be a factor in the match. Jordan dethroned Gray, who was then sent to a therapy script as he recovered from the vertigo. Sinclair took matters into his own hands and attacked the champion, blaming Jordan for Grey’s troubles, and he was fired for it.
Sinclair disguised as Lady Shani win a battle of 20 women and become #1 contender to the NXT Women’s Title, opening a loophole in her suspension. The women last faced each other in a promo for the October 20 edition of NXT.
It doesn’t seem too early to take down Jordan’s title, although he did appear in the crowd on an episode of WWE Raw recently and could be called soon as his husband, Carmelo Hayes, makes an appearance on the red brand. It also seemed like Gray’s title reign came to an abrupt end, so we’re more inclined to believe that Jordan is taking the title back to him, since the real story right now seems to be between Gray and Sinclair.

WWE NXT Championship. Grayson Waller (100%)
To me, it felt like the whole point of the Tony D’Angelo/Grayson Waller feud was to thumb Tony D’Angelo’s nose at his failings. He and Waller debuted around the same time. Waller went to the main roster. D’Angelo stayed in Florida. It all feels like a feud designed to teach the former WWE NXT Champion some humility on his way to regaining the title.
Unfortunately for D’Angelo, he hasn’t been humble enough for the Wrestling Inc. staff, as a huge 100% don’t think he’s making it on Saturday. Grayson Waller’s reasons for returning to NXT may be confusing, and he may seem like he’s constantly on the WWE bubble, but he has one thing D’Angelo just doesn’t have: charisma.
Waller isn’t my favorite wrestler, but I’ll be damned if he’s not a natural on the mic. The feud with D’Angelo really brought attention to how much better Waller speaks than D’Angelo. D’Angelo has some canned catchphrases, and he can really lean into the relationships he’s built with the NXT faithful over his long, long years of development. He has in-ring skills and can wrestle a well-rounded match, but he can’t hide how unnatural he is when it comes time to actually sell that match, which the Wrestling Inc. staff vote clearly shows.
