Ric Flair was reportedly rushed to a Tampa hospital after collapsing on Friday, hours after he posted on social media that he couldn’t fly due to a blood clot in his leg during his appearance. TMZ reports The WWE Hall of Famer dropped by a restaurant in Florida on Friday morning.
According to the source, Flair was sitting at the bar and left his drink and phone behind as he left the restaurant and walked down the street. Flair suddenly fell and suffered facial injuries, including a cut to the head, sources told TMZ. The “nature boy” was taken by ambulance to the local hospital. There was no word on why Fleur suddenly left the location.
Just before 10am, Fleur went to X (formerly Twitter) and posted a statement that he was unable to attend a horror show in Seattle, Washington because he was unable to travel due to a blood clot. Flair said that as disappointed as he was, he had to “put his health and recovery first.” He thanked fans for their patience, understanding and continued support.
Flair said in the post that he was scheduled to have surgery on the affected vein, but did not say when. He told fans that his doctors expected him to be cleared for more travel after the procedure, but it’s unclear what impact his latest fall may have had on his health.
I want to sincerely apologize to my agent, Steve Solomon, of the horrors of Washington State @wahorrorcon:, @bigeventny:And especially all my fans in Seattle for having to cancel my scheduled performance.
Unfortunately, I am dealing with a blood clot in my leg and my doctors…

The star is no stranger to health problems in the past. In 2017, he suffered a severe intestinal obstruction requiring surgerywhich eventually results in a month-long hospital stay. Flair said at the time that his heavy drinking was at the root of his health problems and was told he only had a 20 percent chance of surviving the horrific incident.
