There are well-wishes for Bruce Pritchard after Pritchard’s co-signer Conrad Thompson announced the Hall of Famer will soon undergo neck surgery.
“Bruce was dealing with a neck injury,” Thompson said “83 Weeks” podcast. “It turns out that Bruce needs surgery on that bastard. And he hasn’t been having the best quality of life lately. He’s recovering, he’s doing rehab and all that jazz, but he’s definitely hurting.”
It is interesting to note that Prichard’s neck injury is not new. rather, it’s a 35-year-old injury that gets progressively worse over time. Back in 1991, Pritchard, playing his well-established manager role as Brother Sear, was attacked; The Ultimate Warrior at the taping of the now defunct WWF Superstars. Pritchard was unaware of its severity until recently.
In his absence, Hall of Famer John Layfield (JBL) appeared on Pritchard’s behalf on the Something to Wrestle podcast. New episodes are uploaded every week. Outside of his podcast duties, Pritchard also serves as WWE’s current Executive Director of Creative Writing and Talent under Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque. He was has been absent from his backstage role since WrestleMania 42 after it was revealed he was recovering from a back injury.
