Wilson’s $200 Zero-Torque Putters Were Already Winners. Forum Testers Confirmed Why.

Wilson Golf is on a roll.

Their Infinite putter line has become one of golf’s most reliable sources of performance per dollar. In 2025, the $129.99 Buckingham infinite took top honors in MyGolfSpy’s most sought-after mallet putter test.

By 2026, Wilson entered the zero-torque category with the Infinity Zero Torque Lakeview and U 606. Both retail for $199.99, making them the lowest priced zero torque putters offered by a mainstream OEM.

U Lakeview finished fourth overall in MyGolfSpy 2026 Zero Torque Putter Test with a -7.5 PuttView Handicap. Its -9.0 mark from short distance was the best result in the zero torque test and the best short putting performance of any blade or club in MyGolfSpy’s entire 2026 putter testing cycle.

U 606 produced an overall PuttView Handicap of -6.2. Both were also called between MyGolfSpy’s best zero torque putters under $250while the Lakeview appeared among the zero-torque putters golfers buy.

The lab results were impressive. But do regular golfers see the same benefits on the course?

That’s what Forum members ZJeb67 and Tee_Rex set out to learn over the course of several months. ZJeb67 tested the U 606 while Tee_Rex put the Lakeview through its paces. Nor entered as a devotee of zero-torque. Both end up with the Wilson in the bag.

Two zero torsion differentials

Both putters share the same core technology but look remarkably different. U Lakeview is a rounded mallet, the crescent while The 606 is a compact winged mallet with a more prominent alignment package.

For ZJeb67, the transition was almost immediate.

“I pulled it out of the box and it felt right immediately“, he said.”Balanced. Solid. ready The face stayed square through the shot in a way that my usual putters never managed, like it had an important place to be and didn’t leave my hands too tense in the way.“

He described The 606 darkened finish like having “pure Darth Vader energy” and said his alignment lines framed the ball perfectly.

Tee_Rex chose the Lakeview especially because its shape caught the eye. That instinct is maintained once it arrives.

“I like the look of the Lakeview“, he said.”I like the more traditional head shape compared to other zero torque putters that seem to be very boxy. I also think the black color scheme with hints of red looks amazing.“

“The putter is always right at the ball where the target is”

The zero-torque premise is that a putter designed to resist opening and closing on its own should make it easier to return the square of the face. ZJeb67 found Wilson’s execution refreshingly simple.

“The putter always hits the ball where I aim it“, he wrote during the test.It seems like this is the least possible problem a putter could have.”

His test was largely on demanding greens of Donald Ross. U 606 couldn’t read for him, but it gave him confidence that the ball would start where he wanted.

“Even when my green reading was off – which happens more than I like to admit – the putter still did,he said. The ball went where I aimed it, rolled true with that buttery but consistent feel, and gave me real confidence in lag putts.“

His numbers began to reflect that confidence. His percentage of holes completed in two putts or less improved from 72 percent in 2025 to 78 percent in 2026. Next came league rounds without three putts and multiple one-putts.

“Before using the 606, the hope was 18 putts for nine holes,he said.Since using the 606, the expectation is under 18 putts for nine holes. I had 17 putts in league and felt I should do better. So the setting is improved, and the expectations are really better.“

U 606 he did not only improve his results. He changed what he believed a good turn to put should be.

Lakeview claims its biggest win

MyGolfSpy’s lab tests identify short putter as Lakeview’s superpower. Tee_Rex saw much the same thing on the course.

“Where I’ve seen the biggest difference is in the three to six foot range,he said. With my old putter, laying on a five- or six-footer for par felt almost like an automatic bogey. However, with the Lakeview I have much more confidence in this range.“

That observation reflects the Lakeview -9.0 PuttView Short-Range Handicap, the best short-range putt score of any putter MyGolfSpy tested in 2026.

Tee_Rex also used the Stack Putting app for comparison Lakeview directly against his Odyssey O-Works #7. Both improved as they practiced, but the Wilson showed the greatest gain. The Lakeview improved by 3.48 strokes gained from its initial to final test, compared to a 2.2 time improvement for the Odyssey.

There were also highlights from a wide range, including a round with eight one-putts.

“The Lakeview saved me for sure,he said.I don’t think I’ve ever had that many one-putts in one round, at least not in the last three years while keeping track of my stats.“

Unlike ZJeb67, Tee_Rex needed time to become comfortable with the new sensation.

“At first I felt a little awkward, almost like I was fighting a little stroke,” he said during the rehearsal.I’ve worked through most of it now and am starting to feel more comfortable with it.“

“You need to give it a chance. It took me maybe four to six weeks of playing and practicing to feel comfortable with the adjustment from traditional putters to zero torque. I don’t think I’ll be back.“

Where Wilson Cut Costs—and Where He Didn’t

At $199.99, both putters cost significantly less than many competing models. No tester found any savings in build quality.

“The durability of the Lakeview blew me away,” Tee_Rex said.”This putter has 32 rounds in three months, as many range/practice sessions, and a golf trip to Utah under its belt with almost no flaws.“

ZJeb67 called The 606″stupid good value in a world that usually charges you double for half the performance.“

The most consistent complaint had nothing to do with performance. Both testers did not like the stock Velcro cover. ZJeb67 joked that he might “it gets lost in the trunk.“One of the Velcro patches on Tee_Rex’s cover came off after about 20 rounds, although a dab of glue fixed it.

Tee_Rex also noted the limited customization options. The putters are offered in 34 and 35 inch lengths without any custom angle options. As someone who typically uses a 33 inch putter, I would have preferred more flexibility.

These are legitimate disadvantages, but neither affect the thing that matters: making putts.

The Verdict: Two Keepers

Tee_Rex marked the Lakeview 82 out of 100 and said it was “absolutely stay in the bag.“His conclusion captured Wilson’s place in a category where golfers can easily spend $500 or $600 before they know if zero torque suits them.

“I highly recommend this putter,he said.I think the Wilson ZT Infinite putters are a great choice, especially if you’re not too sure about ZT putters and want to try them out without spending $600.“

ZJeb67 gave The 606 a 94 out of 100 and an even simpler summary: “If you are looking for a putter that hits the ball where you aim it, this is for you.“

His final verdict was just as decisive.

“The Wilson Infinite Zero Torque U 606 stays in the bag because it works, it does its job without the drama, and makes the whole process of putting it much less painful, even when my readings are off. For performance and price, it’s an easy keeper.“

The Forum test showed what strong Wilson test results can be in real golf: fewer three putts, more six-foot confidence, higher expectations and two putters that aren’t going anywhere.

Wilson’s putter heater is still very much alive.
