Kylian Mbappé has shot Real Madrid they got on the scoreboard in less than 15 minutes Champions League first match against Inter Milan.
Mbappe had barely featured in the early stages after a bright start for the visitors, but a mistake by former Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones was punished in clinical style.
Inter were in front after Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez forced Thibaut Courtois into a stop, but their work was instantly undone at the Bernabeu.
Jones, making his first Champions League start since moving to Inter, played a wayward ball to Yan Bissek, who made a mess trying to win the ball back as Mbappe chipped in sharply to lay the ball to Brahim Diaz.
Diaz played the ball back to Mbappé instantly, and the World Cup Golden Boot winner took the finish to put the hosts in front for his 71st Champions League goal.
It didn’t take long for Real to make it 2-0, with Federico Valverde capitalizing on another Inter error to double their lead.
Goalkeeper Josep Martínez was too slow on the ball and the Uruguayan pounced to tip the ball into the back of the net as the home team scored two without having to do too much.
