The Red Devils return to Europe’s elite competition for the first time under the new league stage format, and have made a strong start at Old Trafford.
After qualifying under Michael Carrick in the second half of the 2025-26 campaign, United are looking to make a statement to their continental rivals that they do pose a threat this term.
And that is proving to be the case, with Matheus Cunha grabbing the club’s first goal of the season.
After a sloppy move at the back, Patrick Dorgu played in Cunha who slotted home from close range.
United added two more goals before the break courtesy of Bruno Fernandes and Benjamin Sesko.
