Things almost got physical in the final fight between Arman Tsarukyan and Mauricio Ruffy on Friday night before their co-main event tomorrow night (Saturday, September 19, 2026) at UFC 331 LIVE on Paramount+ at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.
Tonight’s UFC 331 weigh-ins (see HERE) offered many exciting encounters and confrontations. It included a UFC 331 main event rematch between reigning UFC flyweight champion Joshua Van and former titleholder Alexandre Pantoja. Not to mention the performances of Gable Steveson, Patricio Pitbull, Robelis Despaigne and Marlon Vera on stage.
The UFC 331 main event is a lightweight clash between ranked contenders Arman Tsarukyan and Mauricio Ruffy. There hasn’t been a ton of bad blood between the two fighters so far this weekend, but on Friday the tension boiled over on stage. After Tsarukyan stepped on the scale, he walked over to Luffy and tried to maneuver around his outstretched fist. Luffy didn’t like it and they almost got into a brawl before the fight, but UFC CEO Dana White was in the middle to break things up.
