Two fighters made their amateur mixed martial arts (MMA) debuts Friday night (Oct. 16, 2026) at Urijah Faber’s A1 Combat 37 inside the Rock and Brews Cal Expo in Sacramento, California, but only one walked away with a viral Superman punch.
Friday’s Cal fight card offered plenty of action for those in attendance, but the best moment came during the undercard between lightweights Richard White and Chalmes Brown. Both fighters were making their amateur debuts and wanted to start their careers off on the right foot. Unfortunately for Brown, he ended up on the wrong end of one of the best knockouts MMA fans have seen all year.
After a few minutes of back and forth action, White decided to take a page out of Georges St-Pierre’s book and unleashed a fierce superman punch. The kick connected Brown’s chin and sent him crashing to the canvas like a bag of dirt. Brown was immediately out when the referee swooped in to stop White from taking any unnecessary shots. It was pretty violent to say the least.
