Shevchenko was rumored to be defending her title Natalia Silva at UFC 332 on Oct. 3, but an as-yet-undisclosed injury forced him out. The UFC then announced that Shevchenko would surrender the belt, along with Silva and Cong Wang will now fight for the vacant championship in Salt Lake City.

Ushatayka Telegram channel revealed what Shevchenko’s trainer Pavel Fedotov had to say about her injury.
“We were supposed to fight on October 3 against Natalia Silva, but due to an injury to the shoulder and back ligaments, we decided not to push and postpone the fight,” said Fedotov. “Given that recovery will take a long time, we decided to temporarily vacate the belt and when he recovers, he will fight for it again.”
Shevchenko has not competed since her title defense
