Unrivaled announced Thursday that it will return to Brooklyn for its third season as part of its national tour. Four unbeaten teams will play regular season games on Jan. 22 at the Barclays Center.
The professional 3×3 league played its playoff semifinal games at the Barclays Center last season in front of a sellout crowd. This season’s games in New York will be simulcast on TNT, truTV and HBO Max.
The league will announce more tour stops at a later date.
Peerless Commissioner Micky Lawler said in a press release that the decision to return to New York was a “no brainer.” He added, “We can’t wait to return to Brooklyn to once again showcase the incredible talent of Unrivaled in front of our passionate, energetic Unrivaled fans in New York.”
League president Alex Bazzell said in August that the league plans to play at four times as many field courts as last season, and Unrivaled’s road games will again include playoff games.
Unrivaled spent its inaugural 2025 season in Medley, Fla., its home base outside of Miami. Last year, she played a doubleheader in late January in Philadelphia, setting a women’s hoops attendance record at Xfinity Mobile Arena (21,490). The league semi-final in March last season at the Barclays Center saw a sell-out crowd of more than 18,000 fans, with celebrities such as Jason Sudeikis, Wanda Sykes and Issa Rae taking part in the festivities.
In its third season, Unrivaled is looking to build its brand by getting in front of more fans for in-person experiences. Sephora Arena, Unrivaled’s home base in Florida, seats about 1,000. Despite a significant increase in ticket sales in Year 2 due to large crowds in Philadelphia and Brooklyn, viewership declined in the league’s second season.
Its title match, broadcast on TNT and TruTV, saw a 14 percent drop from the 2025 title game, while overall viewership was down nine percent from the previous year.
