Dana White has had ongoing beef with Bob Menery almost five years ago, but the UFC CEO hit a low point this month after trolling Menery for his Brand Risk 16 win.
In case you missed it, Menery returned to the fight arena on October 16th to take on creator and little man Lorenzo “Big Zo” Jordan. Menery had already lost to former football star Johnny Manziel earlier this year and fought to a draw against Osiris Williams last August, so the pressure was on to win in his third round.
Menery, who had a 13-inch height advantage, needed just one round to use his size to beat Jordan (highlights HERE). It certainly wasn’t pretty or fair, but Menery did what he had to do to earn his first official combat sports victory. While Menery was proud of his victory, he was quickly brought back to reality by some of the reactions.
According to Menery, White texted him about Jordan after the win to talk. The UFC CEO reportedly chalked up Menery’s victory to a “3-foot guy,” while hinting that Menery’s next fight will be against a little girl. Pretty brutal stuff.
“He basically said, ‘Congratulations, you beat a 3-foot-3 guy. … Your next fight is probably going to be a 9-year-old girl, and I’m going to take a 9-year-old girl.'”
