Christian Edwards showed his true potential earlier tonight (Sat., Sept. 26, 2026) at UFC Vegas 121 LIVE on Paramount+ at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the light heavyweight smoked Brazilian striker Rodolfo Bellato with a third-round TKO (punches).
This was expected to be a firefight on paper. Bellato, coming off a memorable knockout win over hyped prospect Luke Fernandez, was a significant betting favorite, but Edwards comes from a great team and, unlike his short-notice UFC debut in which he lost, was finally given a ready camp. Edwards had size and strength, but Bellato has a hard punch.
The first round was a near disaster for Edwards as Bellato caught him in the post and scored a big knockout. Bellato tried to finish with a kick and almost locked up the submission as well, but Edwards survived. Edwards came back to regain momentum in the second, using his longer reach and strong jab control along the cage. He increased his efforts in the third and caught Bellato with a huge left hand. Bellato fell to the canvas and Edwards rushed in for the finishing touches.
