The former “Contender Series” standout was scheduled to fight Juan Diaz at Madison Square Garden next month, but an undisclosed health condition left him unfit to answer the call. Yanez did not specify the issue of when addressed his fans on social media earlier today.
“We’re starting the week strong,” quipped the 32-year-old. “Humor is my way of coping. I really wanted to fight at MSG, the history there and I wanted to be a part of it. I’ll be back soon though, Lord willing.”
