Alexander Volkanovsky has no plans to retire.
“I mean, look, I’m not one to just call for title fights,” Volkanovski said in a recent interview The Life of Mac. “There’s so many guys in this lightweight division that are worthy, but I just look at it from the point of view that if I fit into that equation, it might be the fact that we know Justin’s not sure what he wants to do, maybe another one, like, where is he at with that?”
“He doesn’t want a rematch, I haven’t fought him and I have no plans to retire if we do something like this,” Volkanovski continued. “Maybe we’ll agree to have our last fight, a superfight, champion vs. champion. We’re not going to hold up the divisions because we’re going to let loose and let the divisions do their thing. I just think it could happen, that’s why I threw it out there.”
