Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce came away with one stop on Patrick Mahomes’ 15-yard run Monday night.
Kelce accepted his New Heights Podcast that he could have been called upon to keep Broncos safety Talanoa Hufanga in the game, which gave the Chiefs a 7-0 lead in a game they would go on to win 31-10.
“It was definitely a controversial game,” Kelce said. “That’s one of those where you slowly get up, like, ‘Please don’t do laundry on the field.’ I had the I can’t do it man. He can’t do it. It almost cost us. That would be Patrick Mahomes’ second rushing return called back in two games, it was the same thing. That would get us out of the red zone. It was a risky business. You know what? Sometimes you’re just living right.”
Kelce’s catch was shown on the telecast, but none of the officials on the field had seen it, and the catch cannot be reviewed on replay. Kelce ran away with one.
