The Lewis family has contributed an additional £120 million in capital Tottenhamaccording to reports.
The latest investment takes the amount provided to the club by the family to around £320m over the past 12 months. It follows a £100m summer injection from the family, which runs ENIC, Spurs’ majority owner.
The extra funding comes as the Lewis family take on a more prominent role in Tottenham’s decision-making following the departure of Daniel Levy as chief executive last September.
The summer investment increased the Lewis family’s stake in Tottenham to around 88%.
Levy was given the opportunity to invest a proportionate amount to avoid diluting his stake, but did not take up the option before the deadline.
As a result, its share fell from 29.88% to around 27%.
The Lewis family has now pledged another substantial sum, although it remains unclear whether Levy will be offered the chance to participate in this latest investment.
If Levy does not take another opportunity to invest, his stake could be diluted again.
Its stake could drop to around 25% after the latest capital injection.
The investment also gives Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi further financial backing after the club spent heavily in the summer transfer window.
