Current TNA star and professional wrestling legend Matt Hardy has worked throughout the industry with plenty of talent both behind the scenes and in front of the camera, including two big names in the headlines this past week. when it comes to WWE creativity. Amidst rumors and reports from current “WWE NXT” Head of Creative Shawn Michaels taking over from WWE Executive Director of Creative Writing and Talent Bruce PritchardHardy offered his thoughts on the topicThe Extreme Life of Matt Hardy“.
Hardy has worked with Michaels on NXT in recent yearsThe Hardys appearing on WWE’s developmental brand through a partnership with TNA. He said he thinks the WWE Hall of Famer will bring something different to the main roster.
“I honestly feel that in my experience working with Sean, especially when he’s working with young people, he’s more about action,” Hardy said. “He’s still trying to do over-the-top characters, and he wants to tell stories in that sense, but I feel like he’s not a big guy (depending on) ‘taking up your time with the game.’ It’s a televised matchup, like, ‘Go, go, go, go,’ especially if you’re a guy who can go … I think in some ways he’s going to be forced into games, maybe a little more athletically driven on the main roster.”
Hardy said he would be positive if Michaels was in a “more powerful position” on the main roster. He believes fans who love the in-ring aspect of WWE would benefit the most if the Heartbreak Kid gets more involved.
