on wednesday Tip of the day takes us to the United States where we dip our toe Major League Baseball Playoffs.
It’s the divisional round in both the American and National Leagues and we’ve got two World Series favorites in action tonight.
The two-time defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers face the Atlanta Braves with a 2-1 lead and looking to clinch a spot in the Championship Series by winning Game 4 at Truist Park.
The Braves would have hoped to have pulled ahead on Tuesday night, but saw ace Chris Sale get walked by Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Kike Hernandez smash a decisive two-run homer.
Sale’s sloppy night could mean the end of Atlanta’s hopes, and we like the Dodgers, with Tyler Glasnow taking the mound in Game 4, to get the job done as they try to become the first National League team to win three straight World Series titles.
In the American League, the New York Yankees will host the Tampa Bay Rays knowing they have no room for error with a 2-0 lead.
The good news for the Bronx Firemen is that Max Fried will start tonight’s game despite the impending birth of his first child.
The Rays won both games in Florida, but a trip to a boisterous Yankee Stadium will provide a different test.
If the home team gets ahead early, Fried has enough in his arsenal to get the job done.
Wednesday Double (odds are from bet365 and correct as of 10am on Wednesday 7 October)
Los Angeles Dodgers to beat the Atlanta Braves @ 13/20
New York Yankees to beat Tampa Bay Rays @ 14/25
Combined odds of 1.57/1
