Tickets for the inaugural British & Irish Lions Women’s Tour of New Zealand were released for sale.
In September 2027, the inaugural British & Irish Lions Women team, composed of the best players from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales will take on the Black Ferns in three Tests in New Zealand.
For a limited time, Test matches held in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch will have selected tickets for children priced at NZD 1 and adult tickets at NZD 27.
The first Test will take place at Auckland’s Mount Smart Stadium, followed by the Wellington Regional Stadium a week later, with the series concluding at Te Kaha in Christchurch. The tour matches against the Black Ferns XV and Invitational XV will be played in Whangarei and Hamilton.
“To lead the first ever British & Irish Lions Women’s team is a privilege,” said Jo Yapp, Head Coach of the British & Irish Lions Women.
“I know from experience how challenging it is to face the Black Ferns on home soil, but that is what makes this tour so exciting. There is a huge amount of talent across the four Unions, and I am looking forward to bringing together the best players from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales to represent the Lions in 2027.
“These test tickets going on sale mark a huge milestone as we want the fans to be part of this story. The players will be making history every time they pull on the Lions shirt and we hope that fans in Britain and Ireland and across New Zealand get behind the teams to make this an unforgettable tour.”
Whitney Hansen, Head Coach of the Black Ferns, said: “There’s nothing like being a part of something for the first time and this tour will be a big moment for everyone involved.
“The Black Ferns are incredibly proud to be part of the first ever Lions Women’s Tour and we know the quality, ambition and talent of the players that will come together from across the four unions.
“For fans, this is an opportunity to be a part of history and get behind women’s rugby. We can’t wait to showcase some entertaining rugby on home soil.”
