There is always something new in golf. New clubs, new clothes, new shoes, new bags and the occasional product that comes completely out of left field. Instead of covering each launch with an independent story, This week in Golf Gear is a quick look at the new releases, collaborations and products that have caught the eye.
Srixon ZXi wheels
Srixon will get an early jump in 2027 with its new ZXi iron lineand there is a bit to clear up.
The update ZXi7 and ZXi5 return to the side of the new ZXi5+that fits into the player distance category with a compact profile, stronger lofts and some seriously impressive ball speed numbers. Srixon has also updated the ZXiU utility iron. Like John outlined in our full breakdownSrixon leans stronger than ever in its Japanese heritage and the fact that its irons are forged by Endo, one of the most respected forging houses in the world.
Feel has always been one of Srixon’s strengths. The new line doubles down on this while giving golfers more separation between models than before. If the first numbers on the ZXi5+ are any indication, which can be the one to keep a particularly close eye.
Sun Mountain TQR tote bag in waxed canvas
There are few things I love more than a nice waxed canvas golf bag, and the new one Sun Mountain TQR Stand Bag more than lives up to that bill.
Constructed from a sturdy 12-ounce waxed canvas, the TQR it has exactly the kind of vintage character I want in a golf bag. The material will naturally develop a patina over time, while bronze hardware should age right along with it. This alone gives the bag considerably more personality than most modern stand bags.
It’s not all nostalgia, either. The TQR has a four-way top with full-length dividers, seven pockets and a double strap system, so underneath the heritage styling is still a fully functional modern stand bag. At 5.8 pounds, it’s not light by any means, but for something built from wax fabric, I can live with that.
Sun Mountain calls it retro-modern. I call it exactly my type of golf bag.
B. Draddy Solheim Cup Apparel
B. Draddy will dress Team USA at the 2026 Solheim Cup, and as always, the dress is excellent.
The line includes short- and long-sleeve polos, skirts, quarter zips, vests, jackets and cashmere sweaters, with many looks taking inspiration from past US Solheim Cup teams. It also marks B. Draddy’s rookie tournament debut Draddy Sport line for Womenwhich is a significant stage for a brand new women’s collection.
We think a lot about B. Draddy’s appearancel, and there is much of the same classical style underlying it. These are excellent.
ECCO BIOM® C5 Premium shoes
ECCO went all-in on the new one BIOM C5 PremiumAnd the result is one of the most technical golf shoes of the year.
The upper uses ECCO’s Performance leather, while GORE-TEX SURROUND waterproofing is designed to keep your feet dry without sacrificing breathability. You also get ECCO’s BIOM Natural Motion platform, FLUIDFORM construction and E-TTS sole, all aimed at improving comfort, stability and traction. The BOA version also gets an updated aluminum dial.
At $300, these are undeniably expensive, but ECCO has never really been shy about operating at the premium end of the footwear market. If you want one of the brand’s most distinctive golf shoes to date, look no further.
Tour Edge Exotics milled wedges
I’m with John on this one: These are easily the best looking wedges Tour Edge has ever released.
More importantly, the new Exotic Milled Wedges ultimately giving Tour Edge a much more complete wedge story. They look substantially better, have less offset and feature three rebound options alongside the new TriGrind Sole, which combines a beveled toe edge, flatter sole and substantial toe relief. The faces, grooves and sole details are also CNC milled, while Tour Edge’s new SuperSpin grooves are packed closer together to help maintain more consistent spin, especially when conditions get wet.
In an increasingly expensive wedge market, these wedges are also attractively priced at $110. Considering the amount of technology here and how much better these look than Tour Edge’s previous wedges, these are sure to turn heads.
PAYNTR CHIEF RX RS
The new CHEF RX RS is Min Woo Lee’s signature shoe, and PAYNTR built it around the same thing that makes Lee so much fun to watch: speed.
As Connor said in his first lookthe CHEF RX RS combines a full-grain leather upper with a mesh tongue and boot, PAYNTR’s PMXFOAM cushioning and PMXSpeed PLT drive plate. The idea is to give golfers the support and energy return needed for a powerful swing without sacrificing comfort or style.
This shoe is fitting for a signature shoe linked to one of the Tour’s most recognizable personalities.
