Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is supporting a documentary about the legendary New Zealand and Black Ferns wing Portia Woodman-Wickliffe.
Seven Bucks Productions, which Johnson founded with Dany Garcia, will work with New Zealand production company Pango Productions to create Undeniably: Portia Woodman.
The documentary will be directed by Zoë McIntoch, and will follow Woodman-Wicliffe as she “balances fame and hurt by carrying the weight of her culture on her back and rising in a way that only a true warrior can.”
“Portia Woodman-Wickliffe is the perfect trifecta of achievements,” said Dwayne Johnson.
“A true trailblazing athlete, one of the greatest rugby players of all time and an honest, non-negotiable GOAT bad-ass who leads with determination, heart and pride, not only for women’s sport, but for our Polynesian culture.
“Having lived in New Zealand and played rugby as a kid, I’ve admired Portia for years – I’m proud and delighted to be able to share her story with the world.”
During her playing career, Woodman-Wickliffe won two Olympic gold medals, two Women’s Rugby World Cups, two Rugby World Cup Seven titles and a Commonwealth Games gold medal.
Of course, her list of achievements does not end there. She was also named the world’s best rugby player of the year in 15-a-side and sevens. She was also named World Rugby Women’s Player of the Week.
Woodman-Wickliffe is also the leading scorer for the Black Ferns and, at Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025, became the leading goalscorer at both the men’s and women’s Rugby World Cups.
