The Kirkland Performance + v3.0 2025 ($19.99/dozen) scored 85/100 (grade B, Conditionally Recommended). It posted a good, perfect dance rate with zero critical flaws, impressive at this price. C+ rated compression consistency and D rated compression symmetry, meaning ball-to-ball and inside-ball variation are the primary weaknesses. It is made at SM Global which also produces the PXG Xtreme balls as well as Amazon Basics. For the price, it is a competitive result, but the consistency gaps prevent it from a full recommendation.
The Kirkland Performance+ v3.0 is a three-piece, urethane golf ball that retails for US$19.99 per dozen exclusively at Costco, less than a third of what most “tour-level” balls cost. It is the most affordable ball that we have tested in this series by a significant margin and the question that Ball Lab can answer is whether the manufacture will keep at that price. We measured weight, diameter, compression, roundness and balance through 36 balls and three boxes to give the manufacturing side of that picture.

The compression consistency is classified at C + with a delta of 10.5 points and a spread that runs from 87.0 to 97.5, slightly worse than the database average of 9.6. Ball-to-ball speed variation is possible throughout the sample.
Symmetry of compression classified to D with a median of 3.0 points against a field average of 1.9. Individual balls show more variation in internal compression than we would like to see.
The consistency of the diameter classified to C. The sample showed a seam prejudice with 29 of 36 balls that measure consistently thicker through the seam than at the polis. Compression
Compression is a measure of how much force is required to deform a golf ball. The higher the number, the steadier the dance. Consistency is important because a ball that compresses differently from shot to shot produces different results from shot to shot. Ball Lab measures each ball individually and tracks both the mean and spread within the sample.

The compression consistency is classified in C + with a delta of 10.5 points and a spread that runs from 87.0 to 97.5, a little wider than the database average of 9.6. Ball-to-ball velocity variation is possible in that range.
Ball Lab also measures compression symmetry which tracks how well compression is distributed across three points on each individual ball. Is each ball self-consistent? Weight
Weight consistency is another Ball Lab metric. Even small differences between a dozen balls can result in an inconsistent ball flight. Ball Lab weighs each ball to four decimal places.

Each ball cleared the USGA maximum of 1.6205 ounces with a range of 1.6018 to 1.6201 and a standard deviation of 0.0040. The ball that came in at 1.6201 cleared the limit, but left essentially no margin. Box 1 shows the most variation of the three.

Diameter
A ball that is not uniform in shape can move offline on the putting green or produce an inconsistent flight in the air. Ball Lab measures each ball in multiple axes to get a true picture of its shape.
U 2025 Kirkland Performance + v3.0 average of 1.6831 inches, above the USGA minimum of 1.680, with a roundness deviation of 0.0019 inches. Every dance broke the minimum. The diameter data shows a shape bias, but in the opposite direction from what we saw in the Snell PR4: 29 of 36 Kirkland balls measured consistently thicker across the seam than at the poles. Box 1 was the least consistent of the three at an SD of 0.00147 while Box 3 was the tightest at 0.00043.

Ball Test Results 2026
In the 2026 MyGolfSpy Golf Ball Testu Kirkland Performance+ v3.0 White emerged as one of the most interesting data points in the field. Outside of the high-swing-speed driver, he finished in the top 20 for ball speed, but fell toward the bottom third for total distance. It indicates a flight profile that does not fully capitalize on the speed it generates.
The white version also performed noticeably differently from its yellow counterpart throughout the test, trailing the yellow Kirkland by 10 or more places in five of the six driver and iron conditions tested.
Out of the driver at low swing speeds, the white version was the standout, finishing ninth highest spinning in the test and the most spin available at its price. Around the green, however, the greenside spin is down compared to previous versions of the Kirkland. For $19.99 per dozen, the performance print is competitive but uneven depending on the condition.
