The Elite have reunited to take on the Don Callis family in an eight-man tag team action honoring Benjamin Satterlee’s “AEW Dynamite: Tribute to Pac!On Wednesday. Kenny Omega, AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks, and “The Executioner” Adam Page defeated Kyle Fletcher, Kevin Knight, Rocky Romero, and Trent Beretta.
The fast-paced, chaotic match felt more like a whirlwind match with both teams battling each other throughout the bout. The Don Callis family immediately jumped on the Elite, with Fletcher and Nick Jackson starting the fight as the first two legitimate men. The Young Bucks beat down both Fletcher and Beretta before Romero interfered.
He went off to his gliding glimmering celebration, but Paige showed up behind him. By the time Romero turned around, Omega was also in the ring and Bucks prevented his exit. Omega and Paige cut him back and forth in the ring.
The Elite worked flawlessly with each other throughout the match, diving four times before taking their opponent to the corners of the ring for strikes. Romero tried to take out Elita, but ran into a side-to-side northern lights suplex by Matt Jackson, who also took Beretta for a walk in the third. Omega hit a dragon slam on Knight, who tried to regain the momentum, but bounced off the ropes into a V-Trigger. Elite has a superkick party on Romero.
In the end, it was Beretta who got more abuse from the Elite, eating a V-Trigger and a Buckshot Lariat at the same time before taking a BTE Trigger from Bucks. A winged angel from Omega sealed the deal, giving the reunited Elite the victory overnight.
