Sunderland vs Arsenal: Guimaraes goal ‘outrageous’
All three of Guimaraes’ Arsenal appearances this season have been as a substitute, joining the action alongside Jurrien Timber in place of Myles Lewis-Skelly and the injured Ben White at half-time.
“What an achievement,” former England striker Dean Ashton told TalkSport of the Brazil international’s goal. “Absolutely outrageous.
“He really makes it bigger; he hits it with power and right-footed it away from Roefs, kissing the underside of the crossbar and in.
“He wasn’t shy (celebrating) by the way, I’m not a big fan of it, he knows what it would mean to the Sunderland support.
“He goes right up to them, a lot of them run up the stairs to him. He really gave it to them.”

Sunderland penalty against Arsenal ‘soft’
Ashton showed less sympathy for Sunderland for Le Fee’s penalty, which was conceded by Ezri Konsa who had Dan Ballard.
“It’s one of those you’d see so often in games,” Ashton suggested. “It’s not that obvious. There’s no big push… there’s nothing like that at all.
“It’s a real tussle. They’ve both got on each other and given the penalty. It’s very smooth.”
“Dan Ballard is leaning back. He’s got hold of Konsa, Konsa has held him. There’s no real pulling or pushing on the back with the arms pushing forward … a bit of a gift for Sunderland.”
