The Nix prepare for a heated training battle as John Kanchar, Bruce Brownand Broken black there is a competition wing training camp, while Drew Eubanks and James Wiseman will lock horns on the front of the great man.
Despite having two roster spots open, the Knicks are only expected to fill one, writes Marc Stein in a recent edition of The Stein Line (subscriber link). However, that calculation could change if they decide to forego another guaranteed deal.
Stein also notes that Wiseman is also the head coach Mike Brown have a history together because Brown was an assistant coach at Golden State when Wiseman was drafted and that Brown is a fan of the 6-foot-11 big man who would fill a position of need as the third center.
Wiseman has bounced around and battled injuries the past few years, playing in just five games over the past two seasons combined. In his final full season, he played 63 games for the Pistons in 2023/24, averaging 7.1 points and 5.3 rebounds in 17.3 minutes per game.
