Australia The week announced three more key re-signings ahead of the 2027 HSBC SVNS series, with Rugby Australia’s 2025 Junior Rookie of the Year among those who have agreed new contracts with the program.

Mackenzie Davis, Bridget Clark and Alysia Lefau-Fakaosilea have signed new contracts with Australia Sevens ahead of the new season. Clark is chasing a second Olympic appearance, putting pen to paper on a two-year extension.

Clark went through a seven-week program at the University of Sydney and later made it to the team that went to the Paris Olympics two years ago. It’s been a dream climb to the Olympics for the South Sydney product, who continues to play an important role in the team.

Lefau-Fakosilea recently won Wallaroos gold last month, the first time in seven years the full-back has played in an international XV. The 25-year-old made his rugby debut in the shorter format seven years ago against the Black Ferns Sevens, before being named in the squad for the Tokyo Games.

Davies is another talented member of the Australian Women’s Team of the Week, having been named the Junior Women’s ROTY at the Rugby Australian Night last October. The 21-year-old was named to make his Sevens debut in 2024, scoring 16 tries in 25 appearances that season.

“Alysia made a successful comeback from injury this year and we saw her impact during Australia’s World Cup winning season. She is a complete rugby player who applies her craft across both formats with abrasive intent and silky skills.” Director of Women’s High Performance Tim Walsh said.

“Mackenzie is developing well, and her lightning footwork, explosive speed and fearless intent are among her elite week attributes. A few seasons into her pro career, Mackenzie is poised to blossom.

“Bridget is a star in the making. She embodies the team’s culture and values and possesses the power, skill and stamina of a world-class sevens player. We are delighted to have locked her in until the Olympics and progress into a bigger role in 2027.”
