September 17: Sky Italia has secured the lucrative broadcast rights in its home market for a number of UEFA men’s international competitions over the next few years.
The company has secured the rights to Euro 2028, the European qualifiers and the 2026-27 Nations League.
On Sky and streaming on NOW, viewers get all 51 matches of Euro 2028, 24 of which are exclusive, taking place in the UK and Ireland from 9 June to 9 July 2028.
“We are proud to announce this new deal, which further strengthens the House of Sport’s European offering and confirms Sky as a premium UEFA partner,” said Giuseppe De Bellis, Sky’s Vice President of Sports, News and Entertainment. He framed it in part around Italy’s continental journey, calling it a commitment “to our subscribers, who will be able to continue to enjoy a unique publishing ecosystem.”
Sky will show the best away games from the Nations League group stage, which starts on September 24, all games from the June 2027 final, plus key Euro 2028 qualifiers, play-offs and warm-up friendlies, with highlights from each match.
Sky will follow Roberto Mancini’s Italy as they chase a return to Wembley, where they lifted the trophy in 2021, and where eight Euro 2028 matches will be played, including the semi-finals and final. This will be via Sky’s ‘always on’ model, with journalists following the team in Coverciano and across Europe, with live pre- and post-match programming.
