In a video posted to his YouTube channel, O’Malley recalled the exchange with an angry fan during McMillen’s departure. He claims a fan threw a punch at McMillen just before he was ejected, prompting the former champion to roll his hat into a ball and throw it at him.
“This one fucking drunk cowboy was screaming for like two minutes, ‘Fuck Tommy, you f*ck,'” O’Malley said. “I grabbed my hat and rolled it into a ball and got it into a nice ball and as soon as we walked out, I smoked the motherf**k right in the face with it. Part of me felt bad because, like, I looked up at one point and he was like, ‘You’re cool, you’re fine,’ but I was like, ‘Dude.’
McMillen earlier threw a Twinkie at Rahik during the ceremonial weigh-in. O’Malley revealed that the incident led to additional security checks before the fighters were sent out. McMillen eventually defeated Rahik by unanimous decision, and their back-and-forth battle earned Fight of the Night honors.
