UFC Vegas 123 is less than 24 hours away…
It’s all happening this Halloween weekend (Saturday, October 31, 2026) at META APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the main event, the 8th-ranked Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight Renato Moicano returns against the Australian heavy hitter Tom Nolan veteran vs. up-and-comer type matchup.
We have a weekly series at MMAmania.com called “Weekend Lock,” where we share one bet we predict in the desert of “Sin City” when the chaotic dust settles. We also want to hear what our readers think (that’s you!), so tell us your most confident UFC Vegas 123 Betting Lock in the comments section below (See full UFC Vegas 123 odds here).
Summary of last week: And after three weeks of taking L’s, we’re back in the winner’s column Alexander Volkov‘s ML hit when he defeated Rizvan Kuniev at UFC 333.
Let’s keep rolling below:
Top 10 women’s bantamweights Luana Santos and Now the saints clashed on the main card of UFC Vegas 123 in a 15-minute bout that screamed fight.
I’ll be locking it up this week struggle to go the distance (-275).
Sometimes betting doesn’t have to be complicated.
Both women have made it a habit to go on the judges’ charts throughout their UFC careers, and I don’t see that changing this weekend.
The 36-year-old veteran has competed in 12 UFC fights and has never reached a finish in the Octagon.
All seven of his UFC wins have come by decision, including the last three Chelsea Chandler, Miesha Tate and Macy Chiasson. He’s a technical, high-volume striker who knows how to win rounds, but doesn’t have the kind of knockout that keeps opponents up at night.
And Luana isn’t exactly a knockout artist herself.
The Brazilian has had three points in seven UFC appearancesbut they came up against lower level competition. As he has moved up in competition, his finishing ability has dropped significantly.
His last two wins over Melissa Croden and Karol Rosa both completed three rounds.
Luana’s greatest strength is in combat, and while she can find submissions, she generally prefers to grapple, establish control, and bankrupt her opponents.
That’s totally fine with me.
Stylistically, it feels like a classic striker-and-grind game. Yana should have the advantage on the feet, while Luana will likely try to close the distance, secure takedowns and control the action on the mat.
Neither approach necessarily screams the end.
And with both women currently riding three-fight winning streaks, the Bantamweight rankings have a lot on the line. I expect both fighters to be calculated rather than recklessly chasing a stoppage.
Luana’s submission game is the biggest concern.
A talented grappler who has shown the ability to capitalize when opponents make mistakes, Yana has struggled with takedown defense throughout her UFC career. If Luana finds herself in a dominant position and starts chasing requests instead of maintaining control, that bet can go south quickly.
However, given Yana’s complete lack of UFC finishes and Luana’s recent tendency to wrestle her way to decisions against better competition, I feel pretty confident we need all 15 minutes.
It definitely won’t win Night fight.
But hopefully it will win us money.
Give me Luana Santos vs. Yana Santos to complete the distance (-275) as this week’s “Weekend Lock”.
L. Santos via TKO/KO/DQ: +1200
L. Santos via submission: +380
