It took a few months and some help from Johnny Gargano and Candice Lera, but Sami Zayn regained the WWE Undisputed Championship for the second time last Friday on SmackDown. finally defeating his rival CM Punk. And how did Zayn decide to celebrate the huge victory? Nothing but twisting the knife a little more in Punk. Heading to X on Tuesday afternoon, Zayn posted a photo of the undisputed WWE Title belt on the third shelf of his refrigerator, right in front of a case of Silk Protein Milk.

Longtime fans will know that Zayn was referencing Punk after the longtime wrestling veteran defeated John Cena to win the WWE Championship at Money in the Bank 2011, immediately returning home and putting the championship in his refrigerator. Punk himself would recreate the photo just two months earlier, putting the Undisputed title in his refrigerator after defeating Zayn on WWE Raw.
That’s good news for Zayn all around, and it looks like he’s ready to avoid a one-week title reign like he did earlier in the summer. Instead, Zayn will reportedly hold the championship until at least the WWE Crown Jewel in Novemberwhere he will wrestle WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns for the annual Crown Jewel Championship. It would give Zayn another chance to right the wrong, as it has now been a little over three years since Zayn and Reigns last wrestled at Elimination Chamber 2023 in Zayn’s hometown of Montreal, Canada, where Reigns defeated Zayn to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
