Ryan Garcia criticized the interviewer’s question to Conor Benn as disrespectful.
Garcia retained his WBC welterweight title against Benn at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas last month, scoring a second-round TKO after dropping the challenger with a right hand. Garcia has since criticized the question Benni was asked about the loss.
Ryan Garcia fires back at Wesley Graham with a disrespectful Conor Benn interview question
Gunman Boxing’s Wesley Graham recently interviewed Benn about the fight.
“Your fight against Ryan Garcia didn’t go as planned,” Graham said. “Second round, man. I stretched you out like a limo. Nobody expected this. I didn’t expect this. What happened?”
Benn responded by repeating that the severe weight loss had affected his performance.
“You’re going swimming, you’re going to get wet,” Benn replied. “You pay the price. No problem. You bounce back, that’s life, it happens…”
Garcia disputed Graham’s wording and urged Benn not to tolerate such comments.
“Conor will never let this devil disrespect him again,” Garcia wrote to X. “He wouldn’t dare step into a circle where he has no right to say that shit.”
Conor will never let this f***** disrespect him again. He wouldn’t dare step into the ring unless he had the right to say s—t.
