“The Career Ender” debuts in the Octagon.
Top welterweight prospect and Contender series outstanding Ronald Humphrey makes his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) debut Nikolai Veretennikov at UFC 335 on Saturday, December 12, 2026 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Humphrey (5-0) turned in his contract-winning performance in the 10th season Contender seriesstop Alexis Miranda in the first round (watch the highlights) before giving one of the most memorable post-fight interviews of the season.
There’s no doubt the 26-year-old will have plenty of eyes upon him when he enters the Octagon. Humphrey is coming in with a lot of hype despite only having five professional fights under his belt.
The “career finisher” has a perfect 100 percent finish, with all five of his wins coming in the first round. His resume includes four knockouts and one submission, and none of his opponents have survived long enough to hear the horn of the second round.
Meanwhile, Veretennikov (14-8) has struggled to find consistent success inside the Octagon, compiling a 2-4 promotional record.
A 35-year-old man fell out Chaos Williams in his last appearance. Before that, however, he violently stopped the fan favorite Niko Price in less than two minutes (watch the highlights).
On paper, Veretennikov appears to be a favorable first matchup for Humphrey. However, he also has considerably more professional and UFC experience than the undefeated rookie.
We will soon find out if “The Career Ender” can continue to end his career on the sport’s biggest stage.
