One championship expired. Now he has a fight planned Kalin Williams (16-5) middleweight at UFC 332 Oct. 3 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. The Croatian recently compared the wages between the two promotions.
Roberto Soldic compares his new UFC contract to the amount he earned with One Championship
Soldic has revealed that his UFC salary doesn’t come close to what he earned in One Championship. In 2008, he was the champion of two divisions
KSW before signing with One Championship in 2022 and negotiating with the UFC after parting ways with the Polish promotion.
Soldic claims that his previous offer from the UFC was better than what he is currently making. However, One Championship offered him a slightly better deal, also luring him with kickboxing and muay thai matches.
While under a 10-fight contract with One Championship, Soldic only competed three times, all in mixed martial arts, going 1-1 with no contests. He says he’s happy to have found a new home in the UFC.
“No, not even close. But I’m happy,” Soldic told Ariel Helwan. “I think I got the best offer (four years ago) as a fighter, but One had a bit bigger offer. I took a chance and went with One because they promised me kickboxing, muay thai stuff, I like it. They offered me 10 fights; I’m only doing three; the contract is up. That’s what it is now, I want to stay with a good offer. I’m..”
Roberto Soldić says his UFC deal is “nowhere near” what he did with ONE Championship:
“The contract ended and yes, it is what it is. But I’m happy with the UFC now. It’s a good offer and I want to stay here.”
