“Honestly, I’ve been watching the division and I’m not really impressed because yeah, some people win, some people lose, but let’s say Song and Umar…Song knocked out Umar, but I’ve already beaten Song,” Yan told MMA Fighting. “So I’m really not that impressed. The same kind of people are hanging around, so I’m excited to come out and fight everybody and beat everybody.”
Yan says he has no interest in choosing his next challenger.
“A champion does not choose his opponents,” Yan said. “We have matchmaking here for a reason. I think whoever they put in there, I’m ready to fight them.”
