WWE star Penta has had a rough few weeks, the last one Qualifying for the Money in the Bank ladder match as a surprise entrant in a triple threat match on the latest edition of WWE Raw. Last week, however, was even bigger for him because he took on World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns In the main event of “Raw” in Mexico City. The luchador talked about the night and how much it meant to him KSAT’s “San Antonio Live” where he put the “Chief of the Tribe.”
“Honestly, Mexico City was one of the biggest nights of my life since I met him,” Penta said. “He is the best wrestler in the world. Everything was perfect. My country, my people. My family there. It was a great show too. And now I want a rematch because Penta never gives up. Penta represents all the people who never give up, and now my focus and next goal is the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.”
Penta almost gets another shot at Reigns and the World Heavyweight Title after qualifying at Money in the Bank with wins over Dragon Lee and Dominic Mysterio on Raw. He was added to the game to replace Solo Sikoa, who was kidnapped by Royce Keys’ faction 946 before the game.
He will face United States Champion Trick Williams, Jevon Evans and Braun Breaker in a ladder match with two spots still to be determined. Friday’s match between former WWE Undisputed Champion CM Punk, GUNTHER and Finn Balor on “WWE SmackDown” will decide one of those final spots.
