Penta went toe-to-toe with Roman Reigns “WWE Raw:in Mexico and found out why The Original Chieftain is the best in the world.
The Mexican star nearly won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from Reigns on the September 14, 2026 edition of Raw. He pushed Reigns to the limit and learned a thing or two about his illustrious opponent while vowing to defeat him one day.
“When I met Roman Reigns in Mexico City, (it was) one of the best nights of my life for different reasons. But now I understand why he’s the best wrestler in the universe,” Penta said.WWE Now!But something in my soul and something in my heart tells me, I can beat him. One day, I don’t know when, but this (Money in the Bank’s portfolio) is the key (that) can open the big door, you know.”
Penta talked about the match itself and how he gave everything he had to get the better of Reigns. Despite the loss, she said the night was special to her and one of the best of her life.
“A Penta Driver and two Mexican Destroyers and a big dive. That’s why it was a big surprise when I saw it and felt all the energy in the ring in Mexico City… (it was) an amazing night of my life,” he said. “The whole day in Mexico City was very special for me. Horse also in the street, with all my Mexicans the day before, you know, September 15th is very important for Mexicans. So the day before, everything was perfect.”
