Responding to a social media post about Buske, Sonnen praised his approach to the job.
“He downplays it well, but this dude is a secret weapon,” Sonnen posted to X. “Very smart. He always has a plan.”
Costa agreed, saying Buskei’s word choices help fighters express themselves more effectively. “Borrachinha,” who speaks Portuguese and English, said that understanding both languages makes her appreciate Buskei’s work more.
“He makes the fighter sound a lot better, choosing more appropriate words than the low-IQ fighter originally used,” Costa wrote to X. “It’s nice to see you understand both languages. You respect his work even more.”
